Birds + Bees + Kids The Basics Review and Giveaway

Talking to our kids about the birds and the bees is not an easy task.  I always ask myself, what is the right age to start talking about it?  What information is ok to give now and what information should be introduced later?  My older child is now 7 and is in second grade.  We have not had any kind of birds and bees talk yet, because I just did not know how to bring it up and what she already knew and so on.  I always thought that she was just too young to understand any of it and it could wait.  I recently watched Birds + Bees + Kids The Basics with Amy Lang, and had all my questions answered.  Amy has been working as a sexual health educator since the age of 22 and really puts everything in a nice perspective.  She explains that talking to kids about sex is not just having that one talk, its about giving them ongoing information.  She explains why you should start talking about some things at a young age, and what you can wait and explain later on.  She also demonstrates how you can incorporate your values into the conversation, so no matter what they are, you know how to relay them to your children.
